I’ve just starting Believing New Things and the workbook says to write out the thoughts that my brain generates to counter the new sentence I want to believe and then write out alternate thoughts and a massive action. The new thought that I want to believe is “I got just the right amount of sleep last night” and my thoughts that my brain generates are as follows: I need between 8-9 hours of sleep. I routinely have difficulty falling asleep and lay there and read for several hours. I go to bed late some nights. I’m always tired.
Although I can come up alternate thoughts, I’m struggling to come up with massive actions that one could take to combat these thoughts since they aren’t really objective. What do you suggest?
