Men in life coaching

I enjoyed the podcast from last week that had men discussing life coaching. I am a 54 year old male. I discovered Brooke’s podcast by accident. At first I didn’t think it was something that I was interested in. But the more I listened, the more I “got it”. I joined Self Coaching Scholars 4/2019. The main reason I joined was to help me lose weight. I was able to lose the weight and then gained most of it back since March when COVID hit. I would never tell anybody that I am in Scholars because I think that they would judge me negatively. The only people I know is my wife who accepts me just like I am. My sister at some point expressed interest in Life Coaching. I told her that I was in Scholars. She listened to a couple of Podcast and was completely not interested. The one benefit I think that men have for self coaching scholars (as a client) is that most men I know have a very limited social network. Most of the women that I know have a larger social network and they can discuss their feelings with them. Men tend to hold the feelings inside more which leads to more buffering. Doing thought downloads, understanding the model and also doing the weekly 20 minute sessions helped me accept a lot about myself and grow. I wonder if Brooke will do another podcast with other men that discussed Life Coaching and the benefits for men. I don’t know if this is the right forum to express my thoughts.
