Last week I got a few men’s compliments on my Instagram account (which is devoted to women) and I’ve noticed that my brain immediately went to “if they’re making the effort of complimenting me, I owe then something,” which makes me feel obligation and then I thank them, ask them how I can help and so on. Yikes!
I was able to notice the Model and interrupted it and deleted the comments. And I think my T stems from that idea that “I’m not worth complimenting on my physique” (which of course, I’ve got plenty of evidence for) so I’m pleasantly surprised by their words (which is ok) but I don’t like that part when I act in a servile way towards them. That doesn’t feel right.
Help? Thank you!
