Hi Coaches, asking again as I didn’t really feel my question was answered. I have a client who asked me if thoughts always precede a feeling, as the existence of mirror neurons show us that we can have a feeling before we are able to have a conscious thought (infant responding with a smile for instance). The answer I received had a question; what my reasons for asking are and whether I like my reasons for asking. My reasons for asking is the desire to understand the psychology and to serve my client. I like both of these reasons. I am curious, and I wanted to understand if we consider mirror neuron facilitated feelings as an exception to the model or if we just don’t count this reaction as a feeling – or something different. I am asking out of curiosity – I love this work and want to be able to explain how it goes together with other theories.
