Hey Brooke –
Trying to reconcile the difference between a mistake and a failure. Is there a difference? Does it even matter?
Right now I am defining a failure as working towards a goal and missing the mark. Next steps – study the lessons learned…refine…and try again, and again and again. Failing in this context feels disappointing but manageable – necessary and part of the growth process. Easier to get over and move forward and get back to work.
And a mistake feels like just being wrong… not worth evaluating and assessing and refining. A mistake feels like going off the original plan, changing direction and being confused. A mistake feels like a waste of time.
Same? or Different?
Thank you!
