Models about eating off protocol

I’ve committed to losing 8lb in June and was doing really well the first week. I was all in. Then we went back into extreme lockdown, I ate off protocol a few days over a week, and I gained the weight back. I’m struggling to find a compelling why and thoughts to replace “I can’t do this- might as well give up.” I’m not being compassionate with myself and thinking I might as well quit given zero net results in the first two weeks. Any advice? Thanks.
