So I’m curious as to what you would do regarding an actual trauma or serious event. For example –
C- My boyfriend had a drug overdose.
There a lot of thoughts and feelings swirling about that. These are real fears. They aren’t just negative thinking. So how would I fill out the rest of the model? The reason I ask is because for many of the food / urge models my thinking is negative, mean (to myself) and often illogical. So seeing on paper them is a good reality check to refocus.
I tried doing this one for how I want to behave.
A – I don’t yell at him. I don’t overeat as a response.
R – I am supportive and peaceful.
Any thoughts on this?
