How can I keep all the benefits of Monday Hour One when visiting the family for holidays? Especially week-long trips for Christmas or summer vacation? The focus of these trips is quality time with family and deepening relationships, but I always end up slipping into reptile brain and lying around and eating the whole time because nobody in my family (four siblings) is willing to schedule stuff more than 24hrs in advance. I spend the entire week reacting and it sucks. I’m just now finally almost recovered from getting so off track over Christmas. I saw the problem coming and made some basic plans and commitments to myself, hoping that would help, but it wasn’t enough.
