Is money a moral obligation?

I was at a family friends dinner, where one of my religious leaders that I respect immensely was. Some people got around and asked me “how much do coaches usually charge?” I responded saying that different coaches charge different amounts. I then went on to say some coaches can even charge up to 25K + for coaching.

He said “That is so immoral.  I don’t care how good you are, if you really want to help people you wouldn’t charge the same amount as what some people earn in a year and if the coach really wanted to help people, he/she would make it accessible to all.”

Got me wondering about money and my thoughts. Is money tied to any moral obligation?
