Money urge jar question

I’m using the urge jar practice with money to allow urges to overspend and every morning I write down what I plan to spend tomorrow 24 hours in advance. I also write down what I spent unplanned yesterday and how much debt I have. My impossible goal is to pay off $38k debt.

This month I’m working through the Believing New Things workbook and I have a question. The new sentence I want to believe is “I am debt free” but every day when I write it down I just feel ridiculous because the fact is I have $38k in debt. So, should I make the sentence I want to believe a bridge thought? I can believe that I am getting out of debt because I have evidence that I’m working towards it. But the ultimate T I want to believe is “I don’t have any debt.”
