Hi Brooke, In the balance of emotions I think I’m much closer to 80:20 or even 90:10 than 50:50. I’m learning to allow the negative feelings much more and be aware of indulgent feelings…the part I think I’m missing is how to create more joy…and if I’m honest food is my main source of pleasure so sticking to protocol feels joyless. Somehow the healthier pleasures – a walk, movie, bath, seeing a friend – don’t spark joy right now. Is there a practice I can do to consciously create more joy? Love you.
