My daughter is angry at us and moody a lot of the time. I try to connect with her but most of the time she wants nothing to do with me and blows me off by ignoring me or actually shutting the door in my face.

Recently I overheard her telling someone things that we as parents did to her that were completely untrue. However I have no doubt that she totally believes what she’s saying.

How am I supposed to connect with her about things when her thinking is so distorted and her account of events is so far off base?

Its hurtful and alarming at the same time.

My head is spinning right now. I feel like I’m missing something but I can’t see it right now.
