I asked for advice for a dating situation from a friend overseas and she gave honest, but quite critical answers. She started to tell me to move out of my parents’ house which is just not entirely possible because of the cultural background. I do not want to break ties with my parents like this, but I also know what she said may be true and good for me. I respected her answer, but when I saw those answers, I couldn’t help but feel a little resentful and offended.

Should I just stop asking advice from my friend?
