“My husband is miserable”

I was watching an older diamond call and the person said that the C was “my husband is miserable”. And she was having all kinds of thoughts about her husband being miserable, and was trying to change the way she was thinking about her husbands misery in order to feel better.

And Brooke said that the problem is that she thinks “my husband is miserable” is a circumstance, but really it’s a thought.

Is this true?

For example, my mother tells me that she is unhappy. She speaks words that say “I am unhappy”. I know I can put that in my C line. But is this really THAT different from the C being “my mother is unhappy”?
