My new belief

Hi! I worked the four steps for the March ‘new belief’ sentence and I came up with two sentences. My impossible goal this year is to stop binge eating. The most direct thought I came up with is simple: ‘I will stop binge eating this year’ (or similar variations).

However, in doing some models I’ve realized that a parallel/underlying new belief I want to believe is a variation of ‘I make choices that have my own back’ or ‘I live the life I want for myself’. For me, these two thoughts are related. Binge eating is the shorter-term impossible goal, but ultimately I want to believe that I can change, that I can live the life I want for myself and not react to the past.

Should I stick with the stop binge eating sentence to be very clear, or should I focus on the underlying belief required to achieve the goal?
