My mom was put in a nursing home about 2 years ago from a stroke. Paralyzed on the right side and can’t speak. My Dad is still at home with early stages of dementia. My question is I am having a hard time going to visit them. I have a set day with my Mom, (Tuesday’s). But it takes almost everything to get up see her. My Dad, I choose not to see him even though I do have time. Since Mom has been put in a home my Dad has a social relationship with his ex-wife. My parents are 76 (Mom) and 80 (Dad). I am frustrated with my Dad for obvious reasons. But when I have a family gathering, I sometimes don’t want him there. But invite him because he is my Dad.
