My why

A coach asked me to explore my reason to be a coach. I came to an answer that it is because I will always know how to feel good. But life is 50:50 and I will always have negative emotion. So how can I aim for something (know how to feel good) when the reality is that I am supposed to feel bad 50% of the time?

As a coach, I understand I have to stay in my unintentional model to become aware of it and sometimes becoming aware is all that is needed. Maybe I will feel 1% better and that is good enough. In that case, I did figure out a way to feel better thanks to coaching. Can I keep my reason to be a coach (to feel better)? Or am I getting it wrong?
