I identified so much with person on Lisa M’s call who said her negative story was “I am a survivor.” It sounds like a good thing… but for her it felt negative because she was always out looking for the “aggressor.”

My situation is so similar! I wanted to title my old story something like “I made it” and on paper that looks like the title of a positive story. But I realized that in MY mind “I made it” is not positive – it’s angry. It’s “SEE – I made it” or “SEE – I made it in spite of you.” Always me against the world. Thank you to that person for sharing and for being so perceptive of the nuances there. A title that sounds positive to one person can be generating negative emotions for another depending on the other thoughts around it.
