I am in CCP and have been having many thoughts about not being a good coach. Last night, I had a second coaching session with a non-peer. I am curious about some of what I did after the session and am having trouble especially figuring out the second model below.
C: 60-minute coaching session with M who said “I think I’m in the process of having a breakthrough” and “Just 2 sessions!”
T: I helped her!
A: tell my partner and son that I helped a client; replay her words in my mind; don’t pick apart the session looking for things I did wrong; also don’t [yet] review the session to see how I can improve
R: I help me by believing in myself
C: 60-minute coaching session with M who said “I think I’m in the process of having a breakthrough” and “Just 2 sessions.”
T: I deserve a treat
A: don’t put away my materials after the end of the session; don’t self-coach; hang out on the couch, mostly dozing, til 1am; invite husband to go out to buy ice cream; eat a bowl of ice cream late at night; get in bed at 1:30am; go back to sleep after alarm goes off in the morning; stay in bed later after getting up
