Obesity Code & BLE thinking?

Hello Brooke,

I just read the line, ‘Over-eating is not a personal choice,’ in The Obesity Code. I also have the understanding that Susan of Bright Line Eating believes that certain ‘highly susceptible’ people are not responsible for their overeating behavior if they ingest sugar and flour. Obviously you teach about our insulin response to sugar and flour, but I can’t believe you agree with their position that we ‘can’t help it’…although I have heard you say that with alcohol eventually once someone has turned the corner, the body physically NEEDS the alcohol. Do you believe that to be the case for some people with sugar and flour? Or how can I reconcile what I am reading in these books about sugar and flour making us powerless with what you teach?

Thank you!
