Other People’s Behavior


I understand the logic of being an emotional adult and that we are ultimately in control of our thoughts. I think I find this work to be difficult because we live a life constantly surrounded by people that say and do things that affect us. (well at least that’s how we’ve been conditioned to think since childhood.) Is it really possible to not allow the behavior of others to affect us without reacting? For example racism, verbal abuse etc. By doing the models, are we to accept this from people without allowing it to affect us emotionally?
