Output That Matters

As I schedule my daily to-do’s, I find day after day that I finish each day with nothing to show for.
As an aspiring writer, I dedicate hours for reading blog posts on how does one become a writer, how to write this genre, how to develop three-act structure. I take notes, I accumulate tons of information, but I feel lessened as I know that there is nothing that I have done that day that will be remembered. If that was my last day on earth, I would be remembered as the wanna be writer who researched how does one become a writer.

Then again, my brain is telling me that building a website, and doing all the backstage work is just as essential. How do we know what is true in terms of output that matters and should we aim daily to achieve that or rather look at it periodically?
