Overcoming resistance vs. moving upstream


I know you’ve talked about this in the past but it’s a concept I get confused about. Sometimes I push myself to take what is massive action but it feels out of alignment with my energy and not coming from an inspired place. So I end up doing the steps to make a big project happen, but it doesn’t always get the results.

I think what I need to do here is to pause before taking action and make sure I have the right thought. My current thought is something around “I have to do this in order to get x (more clients, more results, etc.), the F is pressured/stress, the A is action with resistance, and the R is lack of energy/little results). I guess my question relates to the role that your energy or thought has here because I think I’d be taking the same action even if I changed my thought to a more positive one – it’s just that the action would have less struggle or stress behind it…
