Overeating workshop & ibs #2

I forgot to to mention this is my previous question. But Everytime in the last 20 years that I’ve tried to fast from food, rather it be a little fast or a days long one, I have suffered digestive repercussions for as long as 7-10 days afterward. Is there any way to follow the plan/become fat adapted/truly be able to hit my weight goal without intermittent fasting? I truly have learned that I need to eat on a regular basis (minimum of 3x’s a day) to not have my life disrupted digestively.

The idea of losing my desire for food (much like having no desire for cigarettes) has blown my mind. Can I reach my goal weight & maintain it by just simply cutting sugar & flour & working on my thoughts & emotions about food?
