Overwhelm at Home


Hi,

I have been out of town for the last week and got home late last night. The laundry is piled high, my bags need unpacked, the car needs unpacked, the dirty dishes are stacked up from my husband being home while I was gone… I struggle with keeping our home clean and tidy in general… I’m exhausted, overwhelmed, sooo tempted to over eat, have work I need to do for my job and have to go back to the office tomorrow morning.

My question is how do I get out of overwhelm and paralysis… make progress and not eat cookies and ice cream. Getting our home in order has been a struggle for me for over five years, and currently it’s more of a mess because I was gone for a week.

But as I’m typing this… I’m thinking that maybe the mess feels bigger than it truly is because it could definitely be worse. It still feels so overwhelming and exhausting though.
