Planning the week ahead

I’m currently planning my food 24 hours ahead. I eat one meal a day (OMAD) so I plan the next meal right before or right after eating my evening meal. I’ve noticed that I tend to plan too much for myself, too much in general and also too much cheese. It’s great to build trust in myself but I don’t think that I am deciding with my prefrontal at this moment. A few weeks back, I did meal prep for all week and I decided almost the full week in advance. Of course I was miserable so I didn’t keep going on this method. Now I think it was better thinking for my future self. Any advice?
