I would appreciate what you mean by “always meant”.
Do you mean this in Byron Katie sense – as I undersand it, anyhow, that it was “always” going to happen because it did happen? (“How do we know? Because it did happen. It’s reality.”)
I understand that as cause and effect – one thing leads to another. (The laws of physics, gravity, other circumstances.) Is that your meaning?
Or do you mean it in the sense of events being predestined by God or whatever? (When I hear, “It was always meant to be this way” my un/intentional thought is, “Well, then, why not just stay in bed all day?” Which I don’t believe or act upon.) 🙂
