I had a huge break through with my mom issues after attending the Modelthon in October. Brooke’s statement “See, everybody has mom issues.” Put so much in perspective for me. I fully got how I am trying to control my mom’s actions with my manual for her…just like any adult child does. My whole life I believed the Hallmark commercials were how 99% of the population was.

My question…is there any primitive reason adult children put a wedge between them and their parents?
