Productivity


I’m brand-new and working on a model. I’m particularly having trouble coming up with a new thought that is helpful to me, so I listed the thoughts I came up with that don’t seem helpful, so you could see how I’m thinking about it. I’d be so grateful for any help coming up with other possible thoughts that could lead to feeling productive (or maybe that’s the wrong feeling?), and any other feedback.
Unintentional model:
C: My goal is to work 6 billable hours today.
T: I don’t trust myself to do the work.
F: Anxious
A: Avoid work by reading my newsfeed, being on Facebook, overeating
R: No work gets done
Intentional model:
C: My goal is to work 6 billable hours today.
T: I have worked 6 billable hours in a day many times. or: I believe in what I do. or: I owe it to my clients. or: I want to earn money. or: I’m lucky to have work to do. (That last thought is the only one of these that seems helpful at all, but even it doesn’t make me feel productive.)
F: Productive
A: I work consistently, taking a few, short breaks.
R: I work 6 billable hours today.
