Project deadlines and negative mind chatter


Hi there, I am trying to do an exercise for “equal air time” with my negative mind chatter prior to beginning a project. I notice that when I have a deadline, my mind will try to find all the excuses to do all the things and avoid getting to work on the project. I am trying to see if there are thoughts that are blocking me from doing the work. I know I can’t change the feeling that is present, typically feeling anxious about the work/ deadline. How might I be able to use the model to think more positive affirming thoughts about doing the project after I’ve noticed the negative chatter and excuses my mind wants to play out?
