Protocol – Long Term

I have started my protocol five weeks ago. Here’s what it is:

Morning: 2 Decaf Coffee, Water.
Lunch at 11am: 8 oz. of non-starchy Sauteed Veggies, 2 Eggs, 2 tsp. of Hummus.
Dinner at 4pm: 10 oz. of Fresh Salad (cucumber, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon & olive oil).

I eliminated flour, sugar, grains, alcohol.

So far I lost 10 pounds. The first week was 5 pounds and then each week slowly it goes.
The past week I lost nothing and I went back to my food journal to see what was different and I saw that I had two planned exceptions that week and it included 1 medium size potato added to lunch over two days of the week.

Now normally I don’t abstain from potatoes but I haven’t eaten them since I started the protocol and I wonder if it could be that they are the suspect to my not losing weight.

If the goal is to pick a protocol that I can do for the rest of my life, I do want to be able to “afford” eating a potato once or twice a month. Yet I also want to lose all my extra weight.
How do I know if I just hit a plateau or it’s the potatoes?
