I think I understand that thoughts create feelings but sometimes, it seems like it doesn’t take a thought to have a feeling. When I hear an irritating sound, I feel annoyance. I suppose the thought is “that sound is really irritating” but trying to think “that sounds is just white noise” doesn’t make me feel any less annoyed or irritated. How do I use the model to not feel annoyed or irritated to loud noises? For reference, I’m not referring to someone make a sound to annoy me, the sound itself is relatively neutral, like the lawnmower or the beeping of some equipment. Thanks so much.
