I am dating this guy who I have ups and downs with. We are usually in contact with each other. However, when I don’t hear from him for more than a day, I get very upset and downright miserable. It’s only when I hear from him a text or call that I then am able to feel better. I don’t have to respond and it doesn’t have to me more than a confirmation that he is thinking about me. I do not like having to do on something or someone externally to lift or control my emotions like that. My question is not really about him but how I can work on myself so that I am not so dependent on the external. Thank you.
