Resistance to Questions #7 & #8

Brooke –

I have been diligently working through this months homework. Each day I find myself SO resistant to answer questions #7 and #8 in regards to “positive/negative thoughts you have had throughout your life.” Such a simple question. I could literally write anything and it would suffice. It could be a meaningless stupid thought..and technically still suffice. But yet I see these two questions and dread coming up with a response. I asked myself why. Making a flow chart in my book instead, and it lead me down the path of realizing that “throughout your life” is requiring me to think about the past. I am resistant to thinking about the past. My brain knows the past is subjective. My brain knows that the past is actually neutral. Yet the resistance remains. How do I work though this?
