Self-sabotage models

The recent podcast episode on self-sabotage helped me identify some of the models that have been stopping me from continuously working towards my impossible goal for 2018, THANK YOU!

Working towards my impossible goal has given me the opportunity to see the many ways I interfere with my goals, it has been an incredible learning experience and catalyst for growth. It has been both amazing and amazingly challenging – which is perfect.

As the year has proceeded, I’ve been pulling away from my goal (being confused, being overwhelmed, creating air-tight reasons to change the goal) and observing myself doing it, knowing that I’m trying to create an excuse for not achieving my goal so failure won’t be as painful. But until listening to that episode, I was struggling to pinpoint the exact thoughts that have been stopping me in the moment.

Could you please review some of my unintentional/intentional models and let me know if I’m on the right track (I’m not sure that each R corresponds with the T).

This has helped me identify some powerful intentional thoughts to keep myself focused on my impossible goal so that at the end of the year I can say that regardless of the outcome, I truly gave it everything. Thank you!
