Self Worth tied to external factors

I discovered in my coaching call that I tie my self worth to external factors like money, appearance, vehicles etc.

I have the awareness that I believe the more money I have the better I am or it’s never enough money which means I am never enough and didn’t do good enough.

I was wondering, once you have the awareness of a pattern you would not intentionally choose, how do you go about changing it? Is it just a choice to believe differently? Are there courses in scholars that may help with this?
