Last night I lay awake spinning out with thoughts of worry. I tried to put everything I have learned through SCS to the test, but I wasn’t sure what to do first. The most important thing to do, I think, is to allow the fear and not resist it, so I did that. But the thoughts kept flooding in. I chose new ones and tried them on, but the feeling of intense worry would come back around as the thoughts that created them did.
What steps should I take when I’m spinning out like that late at night? Do you have a step by step suggestion, even if it’s just “allow the fear / don’t resist”? Thanks so much!
