Brooke – Do you think one has to like one’s work before leaving it? It seems I heard that on a podcast at some point. I’m a supervisor of a production department whose work is moving overseas. We are finishing up in the next couple months then there will be just a small amount of work for a few people for the next several months. Additionally, they are moving folks away before that set of work is done so that there is extra work for those who remain. With the same productivity goals. I hope to move to Colorado in the next 6 months so won’t leave yet, but this just doesn’t feel like work I want to do. I’m trying to figure out how I want to feel now. I’ll probably have to lay some folks off. It just feels sad now but I don’t want to feel sad.
