Staying in my lane

I’m enrolled in a coaching certification program and working with practice clients. Recently, a coachee told me he took action on a decision he’s been struggling with (one we’d coached on).

In addition to the thought “I’m glad the session helped him gain clarity”, I’m battling the thought that “I’m responsible for the outcome if it doesn’t work out well” and that “a more experienced coach would have been able to prevent a negative outcome”.

A follow-up thought it that “The coachee is his own person, made his own choice, and is the only one responsible for the outcome and how he perceives it”.  Do you have any suggestions for processing so many conflicting thoughts at once? Do I just choose the one I believe most to be true?
