Stopping brain from having pretend conversations


A few weeks ago my BFF got angry at a question I asked her and she text that she doesn’t want contact with me. She didn’t explain why, just that she had been feeling a certain way for awhile.

Initially I was hurt, but I’ve been doing my self-coaching work and have gotten to a place of acceptance.

What I’m noticing though is that my brain keeps spinning in “pretend conversations”.

In the past this has happened when I didn’t have closure in a relationship so I’m very familiar with my brain doing this. But now that I’ve got self-coaching to help me, I’d like to figure out what to do when the “pretend conversations “ pop up.
