Taking things personally.

I find it very difficult to deal with feelings when I think someone may be upset with me. I end up in a loop of thinking about what I think I did or said wrong and all the ways I need to try and rectify things. A lot of the time, the other person may not even have said anything to me, it could just be an impression I got when I was talking with them. I then don’t like how I behave because I will over compensate or people please them to ease my own sense of discomfort. Any insights would be appreciated. Thank You.
