The key to happiness?

I have often heard that the key to happiness is to be grateful and content with what you have. How does that align with having goals to achieve more in your life? When I think about you and your goal to develop $100 million business I realize my goals are small. I am content with what I have. A couple of million dollars in the bank, 2 modest homes but lovely homes, plenty of clothes, more good jewerly than I can wear etc…my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I couldn’t think of a single thing. Because Iā€™m completely content. I find it difficult to motivate myself to achieve when I feel like I have plenty. I sat last night and watched episodes of housewives of Beverly Hills. One woman had a $14,000 handbag. I find that to be totally and absolutely stupid. She laughed and laughed when another housewife spilled champagne all over it in the private jet. This is not the life I have by any means nor do I
want it. I understand by making more money you can give more. But, I cant motivate myself to earn more to give more as we give plenty. I think what I am really asking is when does being content with what one has mean you arent asking enough of yourself?
