The Math of Weight Loss & Gain Over A Year

I did some year in review in order to see what I accomplished (or not) during 2020 with my weight loss goal.

I had an Impossible Goal for 2020 to lose 35 pounds for the last time and for good.

Here’s what I’ve found:

Highest Weight in 2020: 166 pounds.

Lowest Weight in 2020: 135 pounds.

First Quarter = Lost 9 pounds.
Second Quarter = Lost 19 pounds.
———————————————-
Third Quarter = Gained 18 pounds.
Fourth Quarter = Gained 10 pounds.
———————————————–

Start of Impossible Goal Year = 163 pounds.
End of Impossible Goal Year = 166 pounds.

My Weight Each Month:

January: 163 pounds.

February: 154 pounds. (lost 7)

March: 154.8 pounds. (gained 1)

April: 145 pounds. (lost 10)

May: 137.6 pounds. (lost 9)

June: 135 pounds. (lost 2.5)

July: 142 – 145 pounds. (gained 10)

August: 148 pounds. (gained 3)

September: 152.8 pounds. (gained 5)

October: 155 – 160 pounds. (gained 5)

November: 163 – 158 pounds. (lost 5)

December: 155 – 166 pounds. (gained 10 pounds)

Clearly, I failed achieving my Impossible Goal.
I did really well during the first two quarters and then gained all the weight back and some.

I really want to redo this Impossible Goal for 2021 and I wonder what could you see here that stands out that I can learn from.
