Therapy vs Self-Coaching


How do I know when therapy is needed? I realized today that I didn’t feel like I belonged in my family while growing up (I was just so different from my family) and that feeling leads to some poor decisions on my part today because I have such a need to feel like I belong and I so want to be part of a family. I thought that I might need to talk to a therapist about this as I’m not sure if the model would help.
