We lost a home and my brain keeps replaying my mistakes over and over again. The coach advised “This is how our brains work. We blame ourselves or others for what happened and replay the familiar thoughts over and over again.” Is there a training on this specifically so I can get better stopping this unhelpful cycle?

Right now, when the thoughts start to spin, I envision a red buzzer going off with the words “THOUGHT ERROR”. It works ok but I don’t want to keep looping the mistakes. It’s a waste of my time. Why can’t my brain see that!??!?!
