Thought Download struggle

I am currently presented with a circumstance that I have lots of negative thoughts around. When I begin a thought download on it, I’m able to write maybe two sentences, and then I shut down and just doodle in my notebook. This often happens to me when a C like this arises. When I need the download the most to really get some clarity I just can’t get anything out. When the C isn’t so charged I’m able to do some awesome self coaching. Thoughts or recommendations?
