Thought downloads


As I’m doing my thought downloads this month, I find myself wondering whether they are ideally intended to be essentially stream-of-consciousness writing (like Julia Cameron’s morning pages in “The Artist’s Way” https://juliacameronlive.com/basic-tools/morning-pages/) or a more intentional approach involving consciously being in the “observer” role, looking at the thoughts that are in the mind. Perhaps both of these approaches wind up with the same result (or not). They feel very different to me, and I would be grateful for guidance as to which is preferable, or whether it’s just whichever method I like better. Many thanks!
