One of the biggest things I struggle with emotionally is animal cruelty.
I have been a huge animal advocate since I was young and have rescued many dogs and cats. My question is- if I see a stray dog or cat, it will throw me into a depression. If I see a cruelty post on FB accidentally (I follow a lot of rescue groups) I can’t get the picture out of my head and will think about that animal for days. Months ago I saw a post about a lost dog wandering on the highway and the sadness in his eyes still upsets me. Then my mind takes me to puppy mills, chained up dogs, animals who are being abused and it’s a never ending cycle of depression, sadness and despair.
How can I use thought work with this? Any help/guidance is so appreciated. 🐶🐱
