Thoughts about feelings


I’ve been studying How to Feel Better and The Power of Emotion. I’ve realised that I avoid feeling many emotions and buffer with food, alcohol, watching Tv even work sometimes. I am committed to becoming more aware of my feelings and processing them. I’d like feedback on my unintentional and intentional models

T: If I feel my feelings I’ll be overwhelmed with emotion and won’t cope
F: Fear
A: avoid feeling by buffering
R: unprocessed emotion and overweight

T: Feeling my feelings is a skill I can learn and develop
F: Curious
A: Make time to be aware and process feelings
R: Less buffering
