I am participating in the Stop Overdrinking Program. I am practicing sitting with my urge to drink like experiencing nerves before a roller coaster ride. I find that comparison helpful because it makes me see the urge as harmless and feeling like the end is in sight while I experience it. I wonder if there are specific thought sentences that could be helpful to think during an urge? Looking for as many thought tools as I can.
